ӰAV Names New CFO

By Rod Jones

ӰAV has appointed Catherine Maninger as vice president for business operations and chief financial officer.

Maninger began serving as the university’s interim CFO in January while a national search was conducted for the position. She joined the ӰAV staff as controller in 2015.

“Catherine brings strong corporate and non-profit experience to this position along with a record of excellence in strategic planning, budgeting and customer service,” said ӰAV President Robert Henry. “I appreciate her leadership at ӰAV and am pleased to welcome her to the role of VPBO and CFO.”

Maninger spent three years as CFO at St. Gregory’s University, and her previous experience includes the positions of finance director at Epworth Villa and process excellence manager at the American Cancer Society in addition to a variety of other finance and business roles.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Kansas and a master’s degree in business administration from Wichita State University. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Oklahoma Society of CPAs, the National Association of College and University Business Officers and the Central Association of College and University Business Officers.

“It is a privilege to take on the new responsibility of chief financial officer,” Maninger said. “I have had the opportunity to work with extraordinary faculty and staff at ӰAV, and look forward to continuing to play an active role in supporting the execution of the university’s strategic vision.”

Trustee Martha Burger served as the head of the search committee.
