MSB Accounting Department Chair and Professor Dr. Robin Walker, DBA, CPA, along with co-authors Teri Grimmer and Sarah Borchers, recently had their article "Accounting Students’ Perceptions of Teaching and Assessment Methods" published in the Journal of Education for Business.
On this episode of the Business Stars Podcast, we talk with Dr. Walker about her article on the role of accounting educators in the problem and solution of the accounting/CPA pipeline problem. We discuss what accounting teaching and assessment methods best suit the preferences of accounting students and if accounting instructors can attract students into the major and keep them engaged so students could be more likely to choose to work as accountants.
